F5 is a leading provider of digital transformation solutions, empowering organizations to create, secure, and run applications that enhance the digital experience.

As a Site Reliability Engineer II on our Technology Services team, you will play a pivotal role in owning the systems used by developers throughout their software development lifecycle (SDLC).

The CEDI team focuses on applications developers use daily, including JIRA for planning and development, Confluence for documentation, Git for source control, Artifactory for artifact storage, and Notary for application signing.

In this role, you will take primary responsibilities for JIRA and Confluence, managing upgrades, outages, and seamless integration with other systems. Your automation skills will be essential in streamlining solutions.

You will:

  • Have 5+ years of experience working with Atlassian tools like Jira, Jira Align, and Confluence administration.
  • Address all tickets regarding Jira, Confluence, and Jira-align.
  • Create and maintain integrations between Jira, Jira Align, and other systems like Identity Providers, Custom Plugins, Monitoring tools, etc.
  • Have scripting knowledge for Script Runner Automations.
  • Experience in creating/maintaining/deleting Custom fields, Projects, Issue Types, Users, etc., for Jira migrations.
  • Create and maintain complex workflows.
  • Support and maintain Atlassian systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
  • Have a good understanding of Tomcat Server internals to fine-tune applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, including systems failures, connectivity problems, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Install JIRA, Confluence, and other systems as required for staging and other environments.
  • Apply observability and data skills to proactively measure system performance, diagnose services/needs, and quickly identify solutions.
  • Participate in service operation and RCA activities and assist with defining SLOs and SLIs for business stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive knowledge bases for system documentation, including standard operating procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides, to support end-users' ability to use the systems effectively.
  • Participate in on-call rotation.
  • Responsible for upholding F5's Business Code of Ethics and promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.

We are seeking an expert who can bring a code-first approach to managing resources in at least two areas, such as cloud platforms, SaaS platforms, containerization, or orchestration.

You will have proficiency in Agile delivery, DevOps principles, and associated tools and technologies.

A strong understanding of technology systems, including infrastructure or SaaS platforms, compliance, and regulatory guidelines, is also required.

The ideal candidate will have experience with observability tooling, including logging infrastructure, time series metrics databases, tracing systems, alert definitions, etc.

We offer a competitive salary range of $130,000 - $170,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
