Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect to join our team. As a key member of our Global Cloud Team, you'll play a crucial role in designing and implementing our cloud architecture, ensuring seamless alignment with our business strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Align cloud architecture with our 3/5-year business plans, making informed decisions about cloud designs.
  • Design a cloud platform architecture for our heterogeneous environment, transitioning to a more global and homogeneous approach.
  • Guarantee the convergence of existing platforms with the target architecture.
  • Implement actions from the current platform convergence plan.
  • Maintain a central view of obsolescence, technical debt, and estimate risk and cost.
  • Anticipate and propose action plans for obsolescence, technical debt, and required team skills.
  • Support the CoE Leader for the Americas in cloud governance and adoption.
  • Collaborate with Global Cloud Team peers worldwide.
  • Interact with BU DevOps Leaders and BU CTOs in the Americas Region.
  • Define improvements for system reliability and performance.
  • Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
  • Use knowledge for troubleshooting complex incidents.
  • Troubleshoot incidents in existing solutions with poor documented cloud designs.
  • Analyze the existing information system.
  • Choose technologies with constraints (cost, time, and security).
  • Guarantee alignment of new projects with the target architecture.
  • Ensure project compliance with the target architecture.
  • Propose transitional solutions (technical debt and plan/cost of compliance) if necessary.
  • Apply architectures good practices: documentation, continuity, security, interoperability with market standards.
  • Design 'Infrastructure as a Code' scripts for automating cloud components.
  • Maintain Azure Resource Management or Terraform templates in the GIT repository.
  • Define pre-approved services from certified clouds (Azure and AWS).
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Enterprise Cloud initiatives and projects.
  • Minimum 8 years of IT experience/5 years of hands-on experience in administering large cloud environments globally.
  • Experience in managing Azure subscriptions and resources or AWS account management.
  • Experience in deploying and managing virtual machines.
  • Experience in managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing Azure or AWS.
  • Experience in creating and deploying apps.
  • Experience in PowerShell scripts.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related).
  • Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
