About the Role


We are seeking a seasoned leader to join our team at F5 Networks, Inc. as a Technical Team Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for building, developing, and managing a team of technical professionals who will drive our company's strategic missions and promises.


Key Responsibilities



  • Design and execute strategies to support career growth, including training programs, mentorship initiatives, and development plans.
  • Align with solution owners, value stream leads, and leadership to ensure workstream talent needs are addressed and proactively planned for.
  • Conduct regular talent management practices, focusing on the continuous development of employees' skills, interests, and aspirations.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning-oriented environment that encourages employees to develop new skills and explore career pathways.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration among team members to enhance their professional development.
  • Regularly analyze data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Foster an innovation culture by encouraging and supporting new ideas, providing opportunities for experimentation and learning, and recognizing and rewarding creativity and innovation.
  • Be a champion and advocate for engineering excellence, ensuring that the standards, guidance, and ways of working are adopted and adhered to.
  • Leverage partnerships with our Talent Acquisition capability to attract and hire well-qualified and talented employees.
  • Uphold F5's Business Code of Ethics and promptly report violations of the Code or other company policies.

Requirements



  • Demonstrated experience building and leading technical teams.
  • Excellent social, planning, documentation, and organization skills.
  • Familiarity with ITSM standards and standard methodology for implementation in an IT environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with solution owners, engineering directors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • A strong understanding of software development life cycle, lean agile principles.
  • Willingsness to handle global teams and cross-geography reporting teams.

Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or engineering, or equivalent software engineering work experience.
  • 8+ years of IT management experience required.
  • No restrictions on the ability to travel to domestic and international locations.
