About the Role

Cotiviti is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Data Scientist to join our innovative team. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with limited experience in data science but with a strong passion for data and a keen interest in the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in collecting and cleaning data from various sources, including databases, web scraping, and public datasets.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
  • Support the development of machine learning models to solve business problems.
  • Contribute to feature identification and testing, implementing feedback loops to refine models.
  • Assist in preparing models for deployment, working closely with production operations to monitor performance.
  • Create visualizations and reports to effectively communicate data insights to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python.
  • Experience with SQL for database querying.
  • Experience with machine learning libraries and data visualization tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or project experience in data science or related fields.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Familiarity with JIRA or other product management tools.
