Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to join our team at North American Stamping Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Quality Management System and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the development and implementation of quality management systems and processes.
  • Lead the quality team in the evaluation and improvement of manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain control plans, FMEA's, flow diagrams, and in-process inspection documentation.
  • Provide guidance to production teams on inspection, SPC, and gage use.
  • Participate in MRB review and product containment activities.
  • Oversee the plant's corrective and preventive action process.
  • Participate in layered audits and new product development.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Serve as the management representative for the plant's QMS.
  • Coordinate individual, team, and plant improvement activities.
  • Manage the department budget and establish a strategy plan for continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in metrology, industrial, mechanical, electrical, or electronics engineering (or relevant experience).
  • Five years of manufacturing experience, including five years of supervision or management, and three years in automotive manufacturing.
  • Master-level understanding of control plans, FMEA's, flow diagrams, and in-process inspection.
  • Master-level knowledge of GD&T, SPC, gage R&R, and gage use.
  • APQP, PPAP, MSA, and core tools.
  • Master-level understanding of problem-solving and root cause analysis.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in verbal or written forms and act as a liaison between production and quality.
  • Ability to speak and write in the primary language of the NASG facility of employment.
Work Environment

The Quality Manager will work in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment, with the potential for travel within Canada, Mexico, and the continental United States.

Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for up to 12 hours.
  • Able to lift, carry, hold, and manipulate loads up to 50 pounds.
  • Dexterity to manipulate product onto gages or gages onto parts.
  • Acceptable vision and hearing with or without appropriate prescribed aids.
  • Able to work in an environment with temperature fluctuations.
