We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at Buscojobs México. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide management with clear, timely, and accurate information to inform decision-making.
  • Alert management to deviations or potential deviations from established plans.
  • Ensure timely and effective completion of Shortage Reports, Late Purchase Orders, and MRP Action Messages.
  • Coordinate and expedite the placement of purchase orders and/or delivery of materials.
  • Maintain data accuracy and ensure the maintenance of parts in the ERP system, including lead times, ABC classifications, safety stock levels, and other planning features.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of material costing, including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and negotiation skills.
  • Apply business acumen and situational awareness to make informed decisions that drive positive outcomes.
  • Assist with inventory control and physical inventories as necessary.
  • Support various manufacturing activities as necessary.
  • Collaborate with R&D on development projects.
  • Coordinate the timely disposition of Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) and support all Quality Assurance (QA) activities.
  • Maintain and follow purchasing procedures to conform to ISO standards.
  • Interface with Quality, Engineering, Customer Service, Management, and other departments on a daily basis to communicate status and champion issue resolution.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in planning and buying for supply chain.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Able to work under general supervision and guidelines.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective attention to detail and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to work independently and rapidly learn new systems and procedures.
  • Ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
