Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Operations Test Engineer to join our team at Rockwell Automation. As a key member of our manufacturing operations team, you will be responsible for developing and leading the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives for test equipment and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives for test equipment and processes.
- Implement common test practices across sites and share best practices with other manufacturing facilities and NPI development teams.
- Develop standardized work practices, documentation maintenance, and operator training for all test-related processes.
- Demonstrate consistent use of Lean Six Sigma tools for test equipment qualification, test system problem-solving, and identification of continuous improvement opportunities.
- Understand documentation on all aspects of the test solution, including test specifications, system wiring schematics, and user guides.
- Provide manufacturing technical support, assisting in troubleshooting complex test systems to resolve downtime situations.
- Assist with scheduling and performing preventative maintenance for all test equipment, and provide guidance on calibration schedules and spare parts inventory.
- Lead efforts to understand quality data for test processes and product repair processes, and create troubleshooting tools and guides.
- Lead or participate in projects to enable plants to meet annual productivity goals and reduce/eliminate safety and ergonomic risk in the manufacturing work environment.
Requirements
- Ability to debug, modify, and troubleshoot software using multiple programming languages, including C, C++, C#, NI Test Stand, Visual Basic, PLC, etc.
