We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL Database Architect to join our team. As a key member of our consulting group, you will support our clients' data management needs by ensuring optimal database performance, security, and availability across various platforms.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-performance, scalable, and reliable PostgreSQL databases.
  • Build and manage replication and sharding for PostgreSQL and other database platforms.
  • Optimize indexes and queries to improve performance across multiple client environments.
  • Maintain robust backup and recovery solutions.
  • Monitor database health, identify issues related to query performance, replication lags, node failures, and system usage metrics.

You Will Work Closely With:

  • Cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide technical expertise for database solutions.
  • Clients to deliver high-quality results and meet project deadlines.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including configuration, performance tuning, and backup/recovery.
  • Hands-on experience with other SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Proficiency with scripting and automation tools for efficient database management.
  • Familiarity with Ops Manager automation and other database management tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience leading database solutions in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
