About the Role:

In this opportunity as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will:

  • Apply your experience of test automation and software engineering best practices to build automated systems for functional and regression testing.
  • Must be very good, detailed oriented, and self-driven in manual testing, test case designing, identifying issues, collaboration with the development team, validation of issues and bug reporting.
  • Investigate, design, configure / integrate and test process control solutions to a variety of technical problems.
  • Very good understanding and practical delivery experience to test and implement testing lifecycle for various applications specifically APIs and Browser based applications leveraging cloud as backend.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases in Azure DevOps (ADO) to ensure good test coverage of the features/user stories.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities for in-sprint, regression and release testing.
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams (e.g. developers, business systems analyst and product manager) to identify, clarify product requirements.
  • Participate in scrum and agile ceremonies.
  • Work closely with team leaders and architects to discuss, design and implement quality processes and practices.
  • Good Knowledge in ADO.
  • Using cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) web consoles or datadog web console is good to have.
  • Understand and build automated tests that fit into the bigger picture of software delivery for building CI/CD pipelines, optimizing the execution of tests, and ensuring that the tests are regularly providing fast and reliable feedback.
  • Have a deep understanding of modern DevOps development tools and practices involved with CI/CD, Continuous Testing/Security and Continuous Monitoring/Observability.
  • Engage with your quality assurance function team focusing on a strategy to improve performance and system stability across a multitude of 3rd party SaaS and PaaS technologies.
  • Test automation engineering experience with Selenium and Postman.
  • Experience testing Web Applications in cross-browser and cross-device using automated test tools.
  • Experience with developing both front-end and back-end automation tests.
  • Proficient with various testing phases, Functional Testing, Regression Testing and UAT.

About You:

You're a fit for the role of Senior Quality Assurance Engineer if your background includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology or Business-related degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Have 4 to 10 years' experience and a great understanding of both coding and software design principles.
  • Experience working in the public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) along with at least one or more programming languages (Java, Python, C#, etc).
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as QTP/UFT Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools.
  • Experience with manual testing of front-end applications and micro-sites.
  • Knowledge of testing APIs and backend systems.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Engages with cross functional teams to execute.
  • Trains and mentors more junior colleagues.
  • Influences and articulates compelling QA solutions for customers and product(s).
