Job Title: Android Lead Developer

We are seeking an experienced Android Lead Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Android development, with a minimum of 5 years of experience and at least 3 years of experience in leading Android development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of native Android applications, integrating REST APIs, push notifications, and multi-threaded experiences.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality Android applications, ensuring excellent performance, security, and user experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement Android solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Android technologies, frameworks, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our development processes.

Requirements:

  • Computer Systems Engineering or related field degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of total experience, with at least 3 years in Android development.
  • Expert understanding of the Android SDK, including activity/fragment lifecycle, services, push, and location services.
  • Experience with modern Android frameworks, popular Android devices, and Kotlin/Java programming languages.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-threading, memory management, networking, caching, performance optimization, localization, and security for Android applications.
  • Experience with modern Android build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing, test-driven development, and automated integration testing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with business and technical teams.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
