Maintenance Officer

Capability Scotland is a leading charity that empowers individuals to live full and inclusive lives. We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Officer to join our team.

This diverse role will involve delivering planned and reactive maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. You will work closely with residents, staff, and the Facilities Manager to provide a comfortable, safe, and stimulating environment for all.

As a Maintenance Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the effective maintenance of buildings, services, and grounds across the Capability Scotland Estate.
• Supporting residents with manual handling and heavy lifting tasks.
• Driving and transporting vulnerable customers safely.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Excellent communication skills and a passion for helping disabled people.
• Proven experience working within the building services or engineering sector.
• Problem-solving skills and a strong understanding of fire safety, health & safety, chemical handling, and equipment storage and care.
• IT literacy and experience using Microsoft programs.

We offer a competitive salary of £22,000 per annum (£11.52 per hour) and a range of benefits, including:
