To meet the growing demand, we're expanding our team to improve our most critical connectors by focusing on quality, scalability, and use case coverage.

About the Role

As a Software Engineer on the Strategic Connectors team, you will play a key role in making Airbyte's strategic connectors – the most widely used connectors on the platform – industry leaders. You'll become an expert on leading APIs like Salesforce, Netsuite, Google Ads, and others to design exceptional user experiences. Your responsibilities will include maximizing throughput, ensuring reliability, and creating intuitive interfaces. You'll also contribute to the evolution of the Airbyte Connector Development Kit (CDK) and Platform to support top-notch experiences.

This position is perfect for product-oriented engineers who want to make a significant impact on Airbyte's success.

Responsibilities
  • Drive projects that establish Airbyte as the go-to tool for extracting data from APIs.
  • Take Airbyte's strategic API connectors to the next level in terms of features, usability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with internal tooling teams to shape the future direction of Airbyte's connector developer tooling and platform.
  • Become a domain expert on our strategic APIs to deliver excellent user experiences.
  • Leverage engineering to build efficient solutions.
  • Guide product decisions and the team roadmap with an engineering perspective.
  • Engage with the open-source community through Github, Slack, or community events.
Requirements

We're looking for experienced software engineers with:

  • At least 4 years of experience.
  • A user-centric approach to building products.
  • Experience with ETL data pipelines or integrations is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • The ability to build abstractions and tools that multiply output.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A passion for continuous learning and improvement.
