About the Role:
Judco Manufacturing S. de R.L. de C.V. is seeking a highly skilled Customs Operations Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our import/export department, you will be responsible for ensuring that all shipments comply with customs rules and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage customs and logistics personnel in all their responsibilities and activities related to foreign trade operations.
- Review all invoices, documents, and formats related to foreign trade operations and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
- Prepare reports and procedures required by the company, as well as reports for management.
- Classify products with an HTS, coordinate with Mexico broker on Mexico classifications, and ensure proper classifications are maintained in the company's business software systems.
- Complete trade compliance action items needed for Mexicali manufacturing transfers.
- Respond to inquiries and requests for information from US and MX Customs.
- Support in controlling the budget and expenses of the customs department.
- Remain up to date on customs procedures and foreign trade law.
- Manage and control Annex 24.
- Aid in US Cost Reconciliation and Pedimento Reconciliation processes.
- Manage and execute the IVA and IEPS certification renewal procedure.
- Maintain accurate customs document filing per established procedures.
- Review and analyze the payments of Pedimentos for accuracy.
- Review the invoices of the brokerage service providers to ensure proper rates are applied.
- Prepare and manage submission of the annual maquiladora/toll manufacturing declarations.
- Maintain and control records and reports of machinery and equipment, as well as their proper labeling.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by their manager.
- Perform weekly audits and balancing requirements for SAT, Millenium, and Visual Mfg software.
Requirements:
- Professional college degree in International Business Trade or related to Import/Export area.
- 3-5 years of experience in positions in the maquila related industry.
- Knowledge of countries customs service regulations and legislations.
- Bilingual – English and Spanish.
Skills and Abilities:
- Manage and knowledge MILLENIUM Customs Control Software.
- Able to track, measure, analyze, and report data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Able to run efficient meetings and make formal presentations to management.
- Self-directed, a team player, and able to manage projects successfully.
- Strong interpersonal skills to resolve conflicts.
- Able to handle stressful situations.
