About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Sustainability and Community Engagement Director to join our team at Clarios. This is a unique opportunity to drive our CSR strategy in the LATAM region, promote our organization's image and commitment to social responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • CSR Strategy Execution: Develop, design, implement, and monitor CSR projects in the LATAM region, aligning with our global goals.
  • Community Relations: Drive local community relations strategy, collaborating with leaders to create employee awareness on CSR topics.
  • Trend Monitoring: Identify risks and opportunities, supporting CSR strategy execution accordingly.
  • Volunteerism and Social Standards: Facilitate direct implementation of corporate volunteerism and social-related standards.
Brand and Communications:
  • Message Development: Co-develop key messages and public position papers on material issues, sustainability, and other relevant CSR topics.
  • Regional Branding: Collaborate to position Clarios' regional branding, representing us in partnerships with ecosystem actors.
Philanthropy:
  • Partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with community partners and NGOs through the Foundation work.
  • Social Impact Portfolio: Guide teams to strategically partner with local ecosystem actors for advancing Clarios' social impact portfolio.
Government Relations and Public Affairs:
  • Stakeholder Relations: Support actions and plans developed by the department to promote healthy and sustainable strategic stakeholder and government relations.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sustainability, environmental studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sustainability, internal or external communications, human resources, community, diversity & inclusion.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English; Portuguese desired.
  • Demonstrable strength and experience in CSR and sustainability leadership, strategies, governance, and motivation of a geographically dispersed team.
