**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for developing assembly processes based on customer requirements, quality systems, financial investment, and labor plans. You will manage the implementation of new processes, select equipment to be purchased, and estimate timing.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop detailed manufacturing plans for new programs that require new equipment or retooling of existing equipment.
- Prepare all sourcing activities from RFQ to PO for major outside tooling and equipment purchases.
- Gather product information, production rates, and assembly requirements from customer contacts.
- Prepare equipment operators by assisting the launch team with training and providing reference resources.
- Maintain process integrity by developing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
- Monitor and support plant activities with equipment installation and launch.
- Work with the PC&L team to optimize material flow to production lines.
- Understand Android operations, including sequencing, subassembly, shipping, and receiving.
- Be responsible for equipment certification and run-off, providing feedback and escalating issues to leadership.
- Ensure proper Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Act as a liaison and coordinate with plant team members to drive lessons learned, best practices, and plant goals into new production processes.
- Coordinate program change requests.
- Provide Manufacturing Engineering guidance and support to ensure assembly processes, tooling, and equipment improve throughput, scrap/rework reduction, reduce cost, and improve quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineers to drive quality back into design and ensure a robust Manufacturing System is delivered to the plant that meets quality and engineering standards.
