**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Processing Engineer to join our team at Newell Brands. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for implementing automated processes to reduce labor costs, developing and procuring manufacturing equipment, and ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing facilities.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Implement automated processes to reduce labor costs and improve efficiency

• Develop and procure manufacturing equipment to support new and existing products

• Specify requirements for manufacturing equipment and manage the procurement process

• Review process equipment progress and manage delivery schedules

• Troubleshoot process problems and implement solutions

• Participate in the development of Bill of Materials (BOM) and labor routings

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement process improvements

• Utilize plant/facility design/layout software to optimize manufacturing processes

• Design, assemble, and test run new fixtures, tooling, or equipment

• Prepare and submit documentation for approval to purchase large equipment or for project funding

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in manufacturing and process engineering

**Requirements**

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering

• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and design principles

• Conversational Spanish and English language skills

• Experience with manual machine shop equipment and mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components

• Proficient in 3D solid modeling software and plant/facility design/layout software

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
