Job Description:

The successful candidate will work as a Corporate Lawyer - Contract Specialist, drafting and negotiating diverse contracts, providing legal advice in credit, retail consumer, leasing, compliance, reviewing new regulations, and identifying impacts. The role also involves overseeing the development and deployment of special projects with high legal impact for Mexico.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, negotiation, and draft general agreements, including provision of services, confidentiality agreements.
  • Follow up and review of regulations applicable to SOFOM, E.R.
  • Provide legal advice to various areas within the company, such as Customer Service, Collections, Sales & Insurance, Compliance, Consumer Credit, Leasing, Procurement, and related.
  • Support in responding to requirements issued by authorities, such as CNBV, CONDUSEF, REPUVE, BANXICO, etc.
  • Review and draft legal documents written in English and communicate effectively (negotiate) in English.
  • This role is responsible for planning and organizing its workload-related items, such as response time, pending items, and diverse projects that could be assigned in the area.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (Master's is a plus)
  • At least 4+ years of working experience within a legal corporate department (Financial/Bank background is a plus, previous law firm experience is also a plus)
  • Fluent English skills

  • Efficiency in tasks and project management

Estimated Salary: $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
