Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team at Kohler Co. as a Control Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and leading project-engineering programs to ensure the automated equipment is in good operating condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to control devices and prevent malfunctions or delays.
  • Maintain and solve problems with all equipment in the Plant, including PLCs, Robots, Drives, sensors, and Instrumentation.
  • Support manufacturing improvement through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and promote a safe work environment.
  • Design and build small machines to improve production workflow and reduce Takt Time.
  • Provide technical support and advice on automation problems on a 24-hour basis as needed.
  • Perform assignments established by the supervisor to maintain plant equipment in good operating conditions.
  • Comply with Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position.
Requirements
  • Preference for an Engineering Degree.
  • Preference for two years' work experience in manufacturing operation.
  • Preference for broad knowledge in automated control devices and technologies.
  • Preference for knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based software applications.
