Explosives Delivery Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Explosives Delivery Specialist to join our team in Fresnillo, Mexico. This is a unique opportunity to work with a world-leading mining and civil blasting company.

The successful candidate will provide bulk product delivery support to blast crews and assist operators with on-bench operations. Responsibilities include:

• Manual labour in hot, dusty environments;
• Bulk stock control and auditing;
• Maintenance of associated equipment;
• Operation of prime movers and skel trailers;
• 32-tonne forklift operation;
• Assisting operators with loading MMU's;
• Loading and unloading ammonium nitrate and emulsion phase deliveries;
• Delivery and demurrage document control;
• Front-end loader operations;
• Waste disposal and housekeeping;
• Handling explosives, unloading, storing, etc.;
• Assisting shotfirers with shot preparation;
• Measuring holes and setting out;
• Setting up reloading areas and shots.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• SSAN Clearance (security-sensitive ammonium nitrate);
• Multi-combination license (MC);
• High-risk operations license (forklift);
• Generic Standard 11 open-cut coal induction;
• Education: elementary school diploma or equivalent;
• Experience: 2 years in dangerous goods, 2 years in bulk explosives, and 2 years in heavy industry (preferably mining).
