Job Summary

Zodient LLC is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining monthly forecast models, analyzing budget and forecast variances, and reporting to IT Leadership and Accounting forecast and budget variances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain monthly forecast models by projecting spend on IT renewals.
  • Analyze budget and forecast variances, explain and resolve fluctuations between forecast and actual.
  • Report to IT Leadership and Accounting forecast and budget variances in a clear and succinct manner.
  • Work with all levels of IT Management Team to manage IT renewal expenses, including calendar tracking renewals and SharePoint online for tracking forecast vs actuals vs budget.
  • Perform period-end close activities, including reviews of expense accrual for all IT renewal categories.
  • Facilitate gathering of data from all stakeholders for the annual IT budgeting process, including IT renewals. Assist with preparation of budgets/forecasts for cost centers.
  • Monitor key financial performance measures, ensuring monthly forecast vs actuals is +/- 5% by accurately forecasting, accruing for services received, and ensuring invoices are paid timely.
  • Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial and non-financial operating data for the assigned area, including cost analysis, vendor analysis, hardware/software spend analysis, and Keep the Lights On spend analysis.
  • Research, develop, and support cost control initiatives for IT.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Departmental Managers, Directors, and VPs.
  • Perform root cause analysis of problem areas and recommend improvements.
  • Recommend and communicate improvement opportunities to PMs, Managers, and senior leadership.
  • Leverage financial and project toolsets and techniques for improvement.
  • Assist the corporate accounting function with matters related to the annual audit, contract audits, and income tax matters, as required.
  • Establish a repository of lessons learned and best practices.
Requirements
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Business Administration, or similar area of study, with five or more years of previous experience.
  • Required/Preferred Certifications: None
  • Required Professional Experience: 3-5 years in accounting/AR/AP functions preferably in IT.
  • Required Languages: English
  • Responsible for Budget: Monitors and reviews budget, forecast, and actuals for $26M in expenditures based on training to look for red flags.
  • Required Competencies: Self-starter who is able to work independently while supporting the needs of the team, Excellent oral and written communication skills, Strong decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge/Skills: Strong Excel skills, Excellent communication skills required to interface with Directors and Managers, SharePoint skills required, with knowledge on how to build/administer SharePoint sites and SharePoint workflow processes preferred, Problem-solving skills, Ability to clearly articulate financial issues and concerns and recommend solutions to management, Ability to prioritize daily activities, delegate, and focus on the items that will make a difference.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no direct reporting relationships, but will work as a team member with our offshore resource in similar duties.
