About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Business Expansion Manager to lead our expansion efforts in Mexico. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing the long-term vision and strategy for business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • New Business Opportunities: Identify and develop new business opportunities to increase company revenue through brand presence expansion and creation of profitable ventures.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with customers, vendors, distributors, and internal teams to drive business growth.
  • Operations Planning: Recommend improvements to operations planning within the organization to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Risk Assessment: Analyze financial, statistical, and economic data to assess business risks and make informed decisions.
  • Store Openings: Lead all aspects of store openings in collaboration with various departments to ensure timely delivery and budget compliance.
  • Property Acquisition: Identify potential locations for new store development, negotiate contracts, and manage real estate portfolios.
  • Lease Management: Review lease offers, negotiate terms, and work with landlords and brokers to secure suitable spaces.
  • Financial Analysis: Evaluate retail real estate proposals related to new stores, relocations, expansions, and renewals.
  • Team Leadership: Build a high-performing team to accelerate business growth over the next 3-5 years.
  • Performance Metrics: Ensure new stores meet targets and deliver desired results.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated Expertise: Proven skills, knowledge, and experience in designing and executing business plans and strategies.
  • Strategic Skills: Sound strategic skills with an operational reflex, committed to understanding the business and staying close to store operations.
  • Mexican Market Knowledge: Experience dealing with real estate brokers, landlords, and shopping mall developers on a Mexican-wide basis, with a solid understanding of the Mexican business landscape.
  • Expansion Management: Solid experience in expansion management and strategy, preferably in the retail industry.
  • Financial Acumen: Experienced in developing, planning, and managing budgets.
  • Leadership Skills: Commitment to working with shared leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Project Management: Ability to supervise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communication Skills: Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational, and personal negotiation skills.
  • Language Proficiency: Fully bilingual Spanish-English (written and spoken) is a must.
  • Education: Minimum of a pertinent university undergraduate degree.
  • Experience: At least 15 years' experience in Retail, having held senior manager/director roles in recognized innovative organizations.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and generous paid time off.
