Job Summary
The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate and reliable financial data, complying with local regulations and contributing to strategic decision-making.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyze and record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Perform bank reconciliations and clean up accounting accounts.
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
- Ensure tax compliance by preparing and filing tax returns (e.g., VAT, income tax).
- Support internal and external audits by providing required information.
- Conduct variance and trend analyses on accounting accounts.
- Identify and propose improvements to financial and accounting processes.
- Cordinate with other departments to ensure proper integration of financial information.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Accounting or tax certifications are a plus (optional based on company needs).
- 2+ years of experience in similar roles.
- English language proficiency - Advanced.
- Analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork.
- Time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
- Experience with accounting processes, taxes, and ERP Oracle.
- Strong understanding of local accounting standards (IFRS/NIF) and tax regulations.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial analysis tools.
