Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Accounting Specialist to join our team at CPKC. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for updating the asset sub-ledger and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Sub-Ledger Update: Collaborate with various stakeholders to gather accurate data regarding physical assets and update the asset sub-ledger.
  • Financial Record Accuracy: Review, analyze, and categorize project spend to ensure the accuracy of our financial records.
  • System Integration: Work with different departments to gather accurate data and create final assets in the appropriate asset classes.
  • Asset Retirement: Determine and execute appropriate asset retirements.
  • Reporting: Prepare monthly reports for assets created, retired, etc.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain organized and accurate records of all asset transactions and adjustments.
Requirements
  • Education: Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or other relevant fields.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years' experience in related accounting roles.
  • Skills: Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SAP, and PowerPlan experience is an advantage.
  • Language: Bilingual (English and Spanish).
