About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Developer to join our team at Plexus. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing embedded software for a wide range of products across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Innovative Solutions: Design and develop innovative, high-quality, and cost-effective embedded software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with electrical, mechanical, user-centered design, and other disciplines to ensure seamless product development.
  • Communicate Effectively: Demonstrate excellent communication skills through interaction with customers, both internal and external, regarding project technical subject matter.
  • Lead and Mentor: Lead and mentor junior team members on the global discipline team, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Support Project Management: Assist project management in the development of proposals, ensuring accurate technical, staffing, budgetary, and schedule content.
  • Drive Process Improvement: Support the Lean culture and effectively utilize Lean Sigma concepts and tools to identify and eliminate waste while improving processes.

Technical Requirements:

  • Embedded Software Expertise: Hands-on experience working with embedded software and ARM microcontrollers, including sensors and actuators.
  • Programming Skills: Working experience with C++ and STL.
  • Object-Oriented Design: Deep understanding of object-oriented design and object-oriented programming (OOD/OOP) principles.
  • Design Patterns: Familiarity with common object-oriented design patterns and principles.

Education and Experience:

  • Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
  • Experience: Five (5) years of related experience is required.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Cross-Discipline Development Knowledge: Intermediate knowledge of cross-discipline development principles.
  • Structured Design: Strong understanding of structured design principles.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to develop good working relationships with team members and customers.
