Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and define test objectives and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and define test objectives and strategies.
- Create comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project specifications and requirements.
- Execute test cases, record test results, and document any defects or issues found during testing.
- Perform thorough regression testing to ensure that previously identified issues have been resolved and no new issues have been introduced.
- Work closely with developers to reproduce and troubleshoot reported issues and provide detailed bug reports.
- Identify areas for test automation and collaborate with the automation team to develop automated test scripts.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and quality assurance.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input on improving testing processes and methodologies.
- Assist in the maintenance and improvement of the QA test environment and test data management.
- Collaborate with the QA team to continuously improve test coverage, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Agile and iterative software delivery methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a QA Manual Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Solid knowledge of defect tracking systems and test management tools.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes and procedures.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISTQB or other relevant certifications.
