We are seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer with a strong background in power flow, short circuit, EMT studies, and transient stability. Experience with large load interconnection or DER interconnection would be considered a plus.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead generator interconnection, load interconnection, or transmission planning projects across multiple ISOs/RTOs and/or Utilities in the Eastern Interconnect (PJM, NYISO, ISO-NE, SERC, MISO, SPP, etc) or ERCOT.
- Develop innovative solutions to difficult technical problems and take ownership of the solutions provided.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of at least one but preferably several of the following software packages: PSSE, TARA, PSLF, ASPEN, PSCAD, and PROMOD.
- Collaborate with other teams within Electric Power Engineers to provide strategic guidance on market trends and process change across multiple ISOs in the Eastern Interconnect.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, market innovations, and best practices in the energy industry to enhance the organization's offerings and capabilities.
