Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Service Technician, 4 Stroke to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for performing field service activities, supporting minor and major overhauls and repairs, and interacting with customers and site team leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform field service activities according to work plans and safety protocols.
- Support during minor and major overhauls and repairs on assemblies on site and/or in workshops.
- Interact with customers and site team leaders in a professional manner.
- Perform internal progress status reports to support site team leaders.
- Follow product guidelines and use records to support work.
- Ensure work is executed according to Wärtsilä quality, health, and environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
- Comply with management systems and company policies.
- Proactively consult, advise, and promote available Wärtsilä solutions and products to customers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of mechanical maintenance expertise with 4-stroke engines, preferably Wärtsilä.
- Mechanical technical experience on Wärtsilä Power Plants or similar applications.
- Knowledge of Wärtsilä products.
- Safety-first mindset.
- Learning focus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical or bachelor's degree in Mechanics or related areas.
- Ability to communicate in English and Spanish (Speaking & writing).
- Skills with MS Office package (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Communication and customer relations skills.
- Proactiveness.
- Willingness and availability to travel.
