Your Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects from inception to completion, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success, and driving engineering excellence. As an Engineering Project Leader at Aptiv, your day-to-day will consist of the following key responsibilities:

  • Preparation and execution of Design Reviews & Peer Reviews, ensuring compliance with the PDP process.
  • Management of the Technical Risk Register, including identifying risks, evaluating, rating, and creating action plans, contingency plans, and change points.
  • Evaluation and management of internal and customer technical (product) change requests, including estimating effort, timing, and cost.
  • Approval and management of engineering activity start/stop/change/signoff on project/component level work packages.
  • Closure of PCRs and VIRs as requested by the Customer Chief Engineer.
  • Maintenance of compliant Engineering deliverables timing in collaboration with Program Management.
  • Monitoring of engineering execution against standard work and best practices.
  • Ensuring work products comply with applicable organization policies and procedures.

You will also be responsible for owning customer problem troubleshooting, driving corrective action, coordinating and delivering product solution handovers to customers at milestones, participating in Big Room Planning, Program Iteration Demo, and Program Iteration Retro. Additionally, you will provide engineering budget input for BBP cycle resource demand, capital expense, material, credits, and own collection, consolidation, and agreement to Engineering spend against approved Engineering budget further to their assigned projects.

Estimated salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Please note that this is an estimate based on industry standards and may vary according to location, skills, and other factors.
