Metrology plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and precision of our products. As a Metrology Specialist at Gestamp, you will be responsible for maintaining optimal conditions for measurement equipment and machines, as well as the metrology laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform measurements on products manufactured in the organization and measurement and control devices.
  • Operate and interpret measurement software CMM, GOM, and Handy Scan.
  • Develop and maintain measurement programs for three-dimensional machines.
  • Support the interpretation of drawings and dimensional results.
  • Analyze and resolve dimensional problems.
  • Manage and control EIMP according to internal procedures and MSA guidelines.
  • Manage external calibrations and internal verifications of measurement equipment.
  • Perform maintenance on control and measurement devices.
  • Manage measurement and test records.

Key Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 5 S
  • Metrology
  • Use of EIMP
  • Interpretation of RPS and GD&T plans
  • Applicable laboratory standards ISO 17025
  • Statistical process control (CEP)
  • Measurement programs in CMM with METROLOG software

Knowledge and Education:

  • Preparatoria or Bachillerato with certification.

Work Experience:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience as a Metrologist.
