Metrology plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and precision of our products. As a Metrology Specialist at Gestamp, you will be responsible for maintaining optimal conditions for measurement equipment and machines, as well as the metrology laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform measurements on products manufactured in the organization and measurement and control devices.
- Operate and interpret measurement software CMM, GOM, and Handy Scan.
- Develop and maintain measurement programs for three-dimensional machines.
- Support the interpretation of drawings and dimensional results.
- Analyze and resolve dimensional problems.
- Manage and control EIMP according to internal procedures and MSA guidelines.
- Manage external calibrations and internal verifications of measurement equipment.
- Perform maintenance on control and measurement devices.
- Manage measurement and test records.
Key Qualifications/Requirements:
- 5 S
- Metrology
- Use of EIMP
- Interpretation of RPS and GD&T plans
- Applicable laboratory standards ISO 17025
- Statistical process control (CEP)
- Measurement programs in CMM with METROLOG software
Knowledge and Education:
- Preparatoria or Bachillerato with certification.
Work Experience:
- 1 to 2 years of experience as a Metrologist.
