Job Summary
Medline Industries is seeking a skilled Production Operator I to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating converting line equipment, packaging machinery, and automated pick and place boxing lines to produce high-quality products. Your attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will be essential to our success.
Responsibilities
• Operate converting line equipment to load, thread, cut, fold, saturate, and stack various cloth materials.
• Operate packaging equipment, including loading and threading of film and labels, to create a complete package of wipes with exceptional quality.
• Operate automated pick and place boxing lines, load boxes on skids, shrink wrap, and haul pallets to a finished goods area using a pallet jack.
• Perform cleaning, hand packing materials, and other support activities for manufacturing.
• Read and understand procedures for individual pieces of equipment to run efficiently.
• Apply understanding of mechanical characteristics of machines to set up and operate the unit safely without damaging equipment.
• Observe machine failures and make corrections or get maintenance involved as needed.
• Maintain awareness of product quality and adjust processes within specifications to attain high product quality.
• Document machine product attributes and parameters on required forms and logs.
Requirements
• High school graduate or GED, or at least 2 years of work experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand charts, indicators, instructions on controls, and operator checklists.
• Read, write, and understand the English language.
• Basic math skills, including fractional and decimal equations.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work in warm and cold environments.
