Job Title: Sr Quality Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Quality Engineer to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for leading supplier quality engineering activities, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, and driving performance results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation to ensure understanding of electrical/mechanical parts and products.
  • Lead supplier quality engineering activities, including risk assessment, mitigation, supplier audits, and qualification.
  • Analyze and solve complex problems to drive performance results.
  • Use dashboards and metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead corrective and preventive actions, and address root causes to eliminate repeats.
  • Apply quality methodologies, tools, and techniques to drive product development and release.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, supplier, or quality engineering functions.
  • Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt certification.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and RCFA.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems (SAP preferred).
  • Knowledge of Power and Minitab.
