Incident Management Role

About the Job

We are seeking a skilled DC Engineer to join our team as an Incident Management Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our NOC team on major incident issues and guiding troubleshooting activities across multiple cross-functioning teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in core business hours triaging for on-call incidents, including major and minor issues.
  • Lead NOC team on major incident issues through E2E process, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
  • Identify critical resources for resolution paths and manage information flow to ensure effective incident management.
  • Perform data analysis to identify areas for improvement and drive team performance.
  • Review operational metrics and contribute to monthly and quarterly reporting to ensure transparency with stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve Incident processes to drive team towards SLO goals and repeatable experiences.
  • Facilitate external communications on global teams' communication and those directed towards executive stakeholders.
  • Interface with development teams on issues that cause disruption, recommend rollback and mitigations.
  • Assist in proactive operational risk assessment and mitigation activities to prevent incidents from occurring.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain Sterling's incident response processes and documentation.
