Job Description

Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Materials Inventory Supervisor to oversee our inventory control operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of inventory, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials. They will also be responsible for implementing process improvements, analyzing data, and collaborating with other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory levels, track inventory movements, and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication regarding inventory needs and stock levels.
  • Supervise and train inventory control staff, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to procedures and achievement of departmental goals.
  • Evaluate and refine processes to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement, generating reports on inventory performance and metrics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, material management, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, practices, and systems (ERP experience preferred).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with inventory management software.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
