We are seeking a highly experienced Program Manager to join our team at PayPal. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for planning and delivering end-to-end complex programs across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and lead planning activities to create a release/program roadmap, ensuring all teams align with enterprise planning expectations.
  • Proactively manage stakeholder groups to establish interdependencies, identify risks and resource constraints, and eliminate significant roadblocks in a timely manner.
  • Exercise smart decision-making and collaborate with other leaders to address key issues and roadblocks.
  • Ensure measurable KPIs are developed for the program, aligning them with the overall KPIs for the product.
  • Design and manage pilots and beta testing.
  • Create and manage clear Gating Criteria with business partners for Go/No-go decisions.
  • Ensure regular communication with adjacent programs and external stakeholders.
  • Identify program impediments and address them, including proper escalation as needed.
  • Lead program retrospectives and commit to improvement on a regular basis.
  • Define launch strategy for new product capabilities, including geographic scope and rollouts.
  • Advocate and manage program implementation according to PayPal's product lifecycle management.
  • Maintain awareness of cross-product/program synergies and actively communicate opportunities to simplify or better align work across teams.
  • Lead effective project/program governance and stakeholder management.
  • Assess current methodology, identify gaps versus best practices, and continuously improve the process.

Requirements

  • Overall 15 years of experience and 8 years in program management.
  • Relevant experience organizing multiple teams delivering on software/product development initiatives.
  • Successful track record of managing complex development programs.
  • Proven ability to develop effective, matrixed relationships across organizations.
  • Strong technical acumen and voice of the customer across the program delivery lifecycle.
  • Good knowledge of project management processes and software tools.
  • Experience with different software development methodologies, including Agile.
  • Experience in Payments or Fintech industry is a plus.
