Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role in managing quotations of new products and engineering changes, as well as overseeing project CapEx and department expenses. Key objectives include maintaining profitability, effectiveness, adaptability, responsiveness, quality, and continuous improvement of products and services throughout their life cycles from the Manufacturing Engineering department.

Responsibilities

  • Lead quotation meetings according to established process guidelines and ZF standards.
  • Participate in the development of new projects, engineering changes, or improvements needed.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining department KPIs related to CapEx.
  • Strong knowledge in line capacity analysis and communication with the customer and sales department.
  • Support other departments by developing a solid process and data to support process improvement throughout the organization.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and financially healthy, according to milestones, with constant communication with the corporate team.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Understanding of a broad range of industrial engineering tools (i.e., work measurement, simulation, process mapping, facilities and workstation design, operations research, etc.).
  • Understanding of site facilities, capabilities, and how they tie back to ZF strategies and direction.
  • Strong financial and analytical ability.
  • Strong communication skills in Spanish and English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Self-managed and self-motivated to achieve results.
  • Self-oriented and motivated person with proactivity able to develop systemic processes.
