Quality Assurance Inspector

In this role, you will perform documented inspections to verify the conformance of parts to applicable drawings, procedures, specifications, and statutory and regulatory requirements. The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for creating the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and project quality plan according to customer and Flowserve specifications and international standards. Additionally, the Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for defining, advising, and controlling all project required quality control documents. The Quality Assurance Inspector reports directly to the Quality Supervisor/Manager.
Key Responsibilities:- Documenting dimensional and visual inspections to the drawing or applicable procedures
- Documenting non-conforming material utilizing a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process
- Reviewing and verifying internal and external qualifications of suppliers, welders, and Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) personnel
- Reviewing and approving supplier's manufacturing and testing documents/procedures and obtaining approval (when required) from the customer, their customer, and the authorized inspection body
- Preparing and defining test and inspection requirements for projects, such as the ITP and procurement specifications
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Knowledge of welding, NDE, and quality systems
- Knowledge of established quality standards, laws, and regulations of national and international authorities
- Familiarity with inspection equipment commonly found in machining, assembly, and test operations
- Effective utilization of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) is a plus
- Flexibility, eagerness to learn, accuracy, analytical skills, and a positive attitude
- Flexibility and willingness to travel
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Operational Excellence and High Level of Customer Service Standard
- High School Diploma/GED and 5-7 years of relevant experience
