Key Responsibilities- Monitor piping and welding processes to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry quality standards, guaranteeing the highest level of quality in our finished products.
- Collaborate with construction and engineering professionals to identify potential quality issues and develop effective solutions, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Review and approve quality control documents, including inspection and test plans, material certifications, and weld maps, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Perform visual weld inspections and interpret radiographic films to verify weld quality, upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Monitor non-conformance items and provide guidance on corrective actions, ensuring that all issues are addressed promptly and efficiently.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections of piping systems and equipment, guaranteeing that all systems are functioning properly and safely.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies, prioritizing the well-being of our employees and the safety of our projects.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in piping and welding inspection on construction projects, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards, such as ASME and AWS, and the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
- Experience with various types of welding, including SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW, and the ability to inspect and evaluate weld quality.
- Familiarity with welding inspection tools, such as micrometers, ultrasonic gauges, and calipers, and the ability to use these tools effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with project stakeholders, including construction and engineering professionals.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
- NDT certifications, such as MT, PT, and UT, are preferred, but not required.
