Key Responsibilities- Lead the SOC team and provide technical guidance on security operations, incident response, and threat hunting.
- Develop and implement security operations metrics and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic plans and projects to meet SOC goals and objectives.
- Provide coaching and training to team members on security operations, incident response, and threat hunting.
- Develop and deliver executive-level presentations on security operations and threat intelligence.
- Work closely with the security team to identify and mitigate security risks and threats.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and partners.
- Seven or more years of full-time professional experience in the Information Security field.
- Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC), Managed Security Service (MSS), or in-house SOC.
- Strong understanding of contemporary security architectures, devices, and technologies.
- Excellent time management, multitasking, and collaborative skills.
- Ability to work in a shift pattern, including 12-hour shifts and on-call support.
- Queue management experience, including tracking and closing security incidents.
- Familiarity with cyber security frameworks, such as NIST CSF.
- Experience with security technologies, including SIEM and EDR solutions.
- Threat hunting experience and ability to evaluate, respond, and mitigate alerts.
- Understanding of network-based attacks, system-based attacks, and denial of service attacks.
- Ability to identify common false positives and suggest tuning recommendations.
- One or more certifications preferred, such as GCIA, CISSP, CCSE, CISA, HBSS, NSA, CEH, Cisco Security, Security+, or OSCP.
