**Job Summary**
Google Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Manager to lead our Java and Kotlin development team. As a key member of our Core team, you will be responsible for enabling our first-party flagship App developers to use Kotlin Multiplatform and multiply their impact by sharing code across Android, iOS, Web, and Servers.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and implement new systems, with a focus on enabling our App developers to use Kotlin Multiplatform.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to determine the future direction of our work.
- Develop and maintain internal Kotlin specific development, build, and review tools.
- Develop core libraries such as testing, logging, and collections.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++ or Python).
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, overseeing strategic projects.
- 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
- 3 years of experience in people management.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
