Quality Assurance Lead for Lean PD Initiatives

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Lead to join our team in Hermosillo, Sonora. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with product quality specifications, customer requirements, and process requirements according to Lean PD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate the execution of AQP Integration Forms to ensure elements are completed and monitor corresponding open actions.
- Coordinate, review, and submit PPAP documents to customers, while preparing PSW and Control Plans and conducting Process Capability and GR&R studies as part of PPAP submissions.
- Get and define PPM levels for new customers, and participate in pre-production, PPAP+180 phases.
- Monitor Customer Portals for advanced quality portions, and proactively prevent out-of-control production processes.
- Conduct MSA, CPK, Gage R&R for new product launches, and lead cross-functional teams to solve quality problems using root-cause analysis tools.
- Support IATF16949 and ISO 14000 audits, follow-up on corrective actions from internal audits, and interpret and incorporate engineering drawings, standards, and customer-specific requirements into the quality system.
- Determine environmental impacts and aspects of activities, personnel, products, and support the implementation of general quality standards in Engineering departments.
- Represent the company to customers in quality-related tasks during LEANPD projects, and support safe launch for critical projects to ensure zero customer complaints before handover to manufacturing sites.
- Champion Reverse FMEA for LEANPD projects and perform actions to reduce environmental impact, as well as activities for compliance with ISO14001.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Bachelor's Degree: electrical or mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing engineering preferred.
- +5 years of experience in quality-related activities.
- +1 year of experience as a Quality Engineer in an automotive environment, preferably.
- Experience in an automotive regulated environment (Tier supply chain and OEM).
- Project Management experience is a plus.
