Job Summary: Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is seeking a highly skilled Production Planning Manager to oversee the monitoring and maintenance of manufacturing activity performance to the master schedules. This role requires strong communication with supervision and production control to effectively accomplish order, part, and timing changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the S&OP Group to establish weekly production plans based on history, forecasts, and new opportunities.
  • Load and manage the MPS plan in the ERP system.
  • Review proper order policies, safety stock levels, lead times, and manufacturing bottlenecks and constraints.
  • Responsible for lead times published to the sales force, customers, and internal employees.
  • Ensure all sales orders are scheduled in a timely manner and within established constraints.
  • Gather data for the Weekly Business Review Meetings.
  • Weekly firm the MPS schedule at the firming time fence.
  • Discuss issues with the operations team and determine demonstrated capacity.
  • Manage the Reserve Production Planning system by establishing the CIRs in SAP.
  • Plan, schedule, and direct weekly/daily manufacturing activity as required to support the master production schedule.
  • Maintain a communication link between Marketing, Materials, and Manufacturing on new products to ensure a smooth insertion of engineering runs, confirmation runs, product introduction, and plan changes into our manufacturing facilities.
  • Communicate and obtain consensus on sales order reschedules due to manufacturing delays and constraints.
  • Responsible for changes and expedites of customer orders.
  • Communicate with both Manufacturing and CSC.
  • Input to the supply review meeting.
  • Input to the sales current update and sales board estimate.
  • Consolidate and monitor Monthly Sales Goal and Absorption Plan for the site.

Qualifications:

  • Education level required: Industrial Engineering, Bachelor of Business Administration, or related career.
  • Preferred APICS certification.
  • Years and area of experience required: 3-5 years experience leading SIOP process, 3-5 years experience with production master plan, SAP is a must, Advanced English is a must, 3-5 years in Manufacturing environment, 3-5 years in a similar role and industry in supply chain function.
  • Soft skills: BOC, Ethical, Transparent, Passionate, Accountable.
