Software Test Engineer Tech

At Valeo, we are seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer Tech to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Analysis and Test Case Creation: Develop comprehensive test cases to ensure our software meets customer requirements and international standards.
  • Liaise with Software Team: Collaborate with software team members to define test requirements and implement comprehensive test coverage.
  • Develop Test Setups: Create test setups to support individual test cases.
  • Develop Test Environments: Build test environments for new applications.
  • Test Execution: Conduct manual and automated testing.
  • Report on Tests: Complete and report on manual and automated tests.
  • Compile and Analyze Test Reports: Generate comprehensive reports on testing outcomes.
  • Issue Reporting: Accurately capture information required for the team to prioritize, diagnose, and fix issues.
  • Customer Advocacy: Represent the customer in highlighting critical issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for test improvement and industry best practices.
  • Testing Methodology: Apply the correct test method and select test cases with respect to the project plan.
  • Test Coverage: Ensure test coverage of software architecture verification criteria related to software integration tests.
  • Integration Testing: Experience with Integration Test, ECUs based projects, Python, CPU load, RAM, ROM, Fault injection, and Resource utilization tests.
  • Artifact Responsibility: Responsible for the artifacts of the role.
  • HW/SW Interfaces: Specify test cases to conduct tests of the HW/SW interfaces.
  • Ticket Management: Report found issues into the ticket management system.
  • Software Handling: Responsible for handling software under test and any other related software.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of SW test validation experience in BSW, Communication, Network, Diagnostics, FOTA/OTA, Cybersecurity, and End user functionalities.
  • Embedded Software Knowledge: Understanding of embedded software and systems.
  • MIL, SIL, HIL Test Environment: Knowledge of these environments is required.
  • Testing Tools: Familiarity with Vector Canoe, Castle, and Vosterx HIL bench test.
  • Programming Skills: Good programming skills in C, Python, CAPL, and Test Automation Scripts.
  • Software Testing Techniques: Knowledge of testing techniques and processes.
  • ISTQB Certification: Minimum Foundation level required.
  • Test Automation Solutions: Previous knowledge in building test automation solutions.

Knowledge of process models (e.g., Automotive SPICE) is a plus.
