The Job Description
This position exists to support the Procure to Pay workstream of Discovery, Inc. The person will have overall responsibility for performing PTP functions involved in maintaining PTP processes, ensuring Sox compliance, maintaining a robust controls environment providing updates/reporting of overall Procure to Pay Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver world-class customer service to internal and external stakeholders while adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Support PTP processes to ensure operational success, including vendor creation, invoice matching, and routing invoices to the appropriate coders.
- Review PCard statement submissions for compliance and monitor aging PTP activity, including interfacing applications.
- Support integration and onboarding of new acquisitions into Discovery, Inc. processes and systems.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in PTP processes & technologies (SAP SRM, Ariba, PeopleSoft, Oracle, OpenText VIM, SAP ECC) for non-content spend.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field preferred.
- Experience in Peoplesoft Financials and SAP preferred.
- Experience in the Media Industry and/or Media Sales preferred.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- A complete understanding of the PTP process.
- Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, creatively, and efficiently.
- Proven track record in meeting deadlines.
