The Kion Group AG is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Guadalupe Monterrey México. Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop mechanical drawings, including header steel layouts, composites, safety features, pneumatic systems, and guarding systems.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects by leading or designing mechanical drawings and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Conduct quality audits and support peer reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Solve complex problems and refer unusual issues to senior engineers for resolution.
- Communicate progress and status to peers, project leads, and managers, and remove roadblocks to ensure project success.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes that impact productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with less experienced engineers to provide guidance and support, and create documentation and resources to aid in their development.
- Coordinate small teams of engineers in technical execution and budget management.
- Travel to customer locations as required to fulfill work requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on complex systems design.
- Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCad and SolidWorks, and technical drawing skills.
- Knowledge of Inventor software and structural design principles.
- Ability to apply fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of mechanical design, including FEA.
