About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Supply Chain team in Mexico. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and implementing medium to low-complexity projects, delivering operational improvements, and influencing multi-functional project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage project budgets and objectives, ensuring completion and delivering overall projects using change control management, training, construction management, scope development, and agreement with key partners on user requirements, justification, constraints, and assumptions.
  • Lead and handle project teams, including full-time Diageo employees, contractors, and local and international suppliers.
  • Deliver projects with zero harm, ensuring accurate process application, following work plans, and handling budgets.
  • Ensure projects are within scope, direction, and schedule, leading other departments to get the job done.
  • Support the achievement of the overall Diageo Mexico business plans.

Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent experience in Engineering (Mechanic, Electric, Mechatronics, Chemical, Industrial, Environmental).
  • MS Office, MS Project, MS Excel, Basic AutoCAD, Visio.
  • 4 years of industry experience in different projects (Services, Utilities, Fire System, HVAC, WWTP) or a combination of experience and education. Preferred in a food safety environment.
  • Handle end-to-end project processes.
  • PMI process groups general knowledge.
  • Commissioning, start-up, handover knowledge.
  • Ability to run multiple work streams while delivering to target dates.
  • Experience and deep interaction with operations management.
  • Demonstrated commercial and negotiation skills.
  • Able to effectively work with and in the business automating and streamlining business processes.
  • Work independently and be dedicated as it relates to workload, problem-solving, and fixing.
  • Working knowledge of basic elements of Good Manufacturing Practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under time-sensitive situations.
  • Proficiency in gathering business requirements, process flows, and root cause analysis.
