About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fixed Assets Accountant to join our team at Google. As a key member of our Finance organization, you will be responsible for managing our global accounting for Google's entire CapEx portfolio, manufacturing operations, and related expenses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end close tasks related to Property, Plant, and Equipment (PP&E) area, including managing asset creation and retirement processes, providing commentary for flux analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis, booking journal entries for the related process, and partnering with business for new process/product implementations.
  • Prepare and present financial information to different audiences, including finance leaders, business partners, auditors, and regional accountants.
  • Find efficiencies in the processes through elimination, automation, and extended workforce.
  • Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls for PP&E processes, run processes according to risk assessment and control frameworks, and escalate when risks are detected.
  • Work towards constant improvements of gFA processes to drive higher quality standards in the fixed assets register, reconciliations, and reporting produced for local audits and close reporting.
