Laundry Assistant

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Laundry Assistant to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Identify stained or damaged items and determine their status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard.
• Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer, or dry-cleaning machines and place them in clean linen carts.
• Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics contained in the load.
• Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load.
• Fold cleaned articles into designated sizes, either by hand or using a folding machine.
• Maintain accurate records of items laundered.

**Requirements**

• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
• Complete safety training and certifications.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
• Support the team to reach common goals.

**Preferred Qualifications**

• No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
• No related work experience is necessary.
• No supervisory experience is required.
