About the Role:
At American Economic As, we are seeking a highly skilled Research Economist to join our team in the Economic Research Directorate. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for conducting high-quality, policy-oriented research and contributing to the Bank's senior management. Your work will be focused on analyzing economic data and developing research papers for publication in refereed journals. You will also have the opportunity to participate in intense external and internal seminar series, workshops, and conference travel support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-quality, policy-oriented research for publication in refereed journals
- Analyze economic data and develop research papers
- Participate in external and internal seminar series, workshops, and conference travel support
- Collaborate with senior management to develop research strategies and priorities

Requirements:
- Ph.D. in economics or related field
- Excellent written and spoken Spanish skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
