About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant - Industry Expert to join our team at NTT DATA Services. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues with our engineering teams.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for technical support issues and provide expert guidance.
  • Help define and improve runtime processes to enhance support platform and application performance.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and code snippets to support internal engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve service elasticity, resiliency, and recovery times.
  • Contribute to the development of OKRs and improve SDLC/Continuous Delivery processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or equivalent) and 3+ years of software development experience.
  • Proficiency in Java or similar programming language, debugging, and scripting.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with standard support ticketing, prioritization, and SDLC processes.
  • Knowledge of Gitlab, incident management, and Jira.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with configuring monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g. Prometheus, PagerDuty).
  • Experience with configuring service mesh solutions/grids (e.g. Itsio).
  • Experience with Kubernetes networking configuration (e.g. Contour / Envoy).
  • Experience with infra as code (e.g. Terraform / Kustomize).
  • Exposure to large-scale SOA Java deployment and micro-services.
  • Experience with Kafka, Elastic Search, and Docker-based services.
