As a key member of the Jabil team, the Manufacturing Engineering Operations Manager will provide strategic direction and guidance to ensure the effective use of Jabil Manufacturing Engineering systems, procedures, templates, and materials/equipment. This role will manage equipment supplier relationships, B2B agreements, technology development, and provide exceptional support to Jabil Business Sectors, Business Units, Plants, and Workcells.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement ME-Ops strategies that contribute to business development and Jabil's strategic directions.
- Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives through equipment supplier management, surplus equipment and spares management, and optimized process development.
- Monitor departmental costs and cost trends, striving to improve value and efficiency.
- Manage the procurement of department equipment, tools, and software.
- Manage global ME equipment suppliers, documenting supplier performance and ensuring accuracy of B2B data.
- Manage global ME equipment obsolescence and WW capability matrix ME input.
- Schedule technology management meetings with suppliers and develop global ME procedures for key processes.
- Develop key training tools, documents, and procedures for global use by ME's.
- Collaborate on the ME technology roadmap and drive continuous improvement of the ME-Ops team.
- Exchange knowledge and documentation with Jabil facilities WW to ensure information sharing throughout the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and email skills.
